vector problem with lockon

pls!! someone help me with lockon vector problem ...it seems that i cannot look down all the way and trackir lost tracking when i look down

and looking left/right seems to have samekind problem ....no problem with looking up

How close to the unit are you? I find that just over an arms length away works best for me.

trackir is about 20" away from me

DarkSoul make the distance from between 30 to36" away. TIR3 and Vector works best at those distances.

ok...i moved trackir to 36" but now its worse than before

For most people there is a 'sweet spot' min is at 32" and 2" above my Vector (on top of my monitor) with the 3 'dots' centred and the bottom two horizontal.

Failing that have you tried the 4.021 Beta (I am finding it a bit more stable at the extreeme edges with the above setup.

Make sure that the "tracking" view is centered. If it's not you don't get the full range. Sit where you normally do, bring up the tracking view, and make sure the three greens are centered by moving the Tir device.
