Extending the Y axis

Post by Steven190 »

I would like to extend the y axis (up and down)
so that the up from zero has more travel and the down from zero can be less. I find that I have the flip over if I go too far in the up.
Is this done in the software? I have looked at the profiles some, but I am not sure as to where and what to change.
I only use the IR for flight sims and want to get the up distance to be a little greater with less head movement.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Steven, for getting more movement with less head moving then all you need to do is go into the axis management and move the curve upwards for more vertual movement for less head movement. This will also spred up the movement because it is easier to move the head a small amount faster over a small distance.

Oh a little tip if you want a 'dead zone' in smooth movement, lower the curve a notch or two so that the centre goes a blt flat then just raise and save the curve. Then just copy to all curves.

Double click on the Y axis gauge in the gauges window to bring up a larger gauge of that axis which can be adjusted.
In that larger adjustable gauge, above the "ok" button, you will see a check box named "mirror values".
Uncheck the mirror values box.
Now you can adjust up from center and down from center independently.
Move your head so you can see for sure which side from center on the guage is the side you want to change.
Note that you have to uncheck this box every time you reopen the gauge and want to make independent changes.
