TrackIR won't launch

I click on the trackir icon, the time icon comes on and then goes off, but the program does not launch.

Though when I check Windows Task Manager, I find Track IR is actually running in the background and is using 50% of the cpu cycles.

Any ideas, or suggestions gratefully received.

Hi, try uninstalling your TIR using "Add/Remove Programs". Then plug your TIR into a different port (this will force the driver to be reset) and then re-install the latest version from http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06- ... nuals.html

Well it does launch, but it seems to take an hour or so to launch

Have a look in your profiles folder and check the size of all your profiles. If there are any overly large ones then delete them. That should do the trick.

My default is 4,295KB is that too big?

(The others are all around 2KB)

Try putting it into a different folder nd see how you go.

Generally anything above to or 3 k can be an issue, Barred's recommendation of moving to another folder is a good step to try.

It worked

I took out the extra large profile and the whole thing loads up instantly.
