Great interview Jim! I have been checking SimHQ everyday for it since I posted qestions to ask in their message board. First off, I want to tell everybody there how great of a job you guys do with only 8 people. I would have never guessed you're that small of a company! I also have a lot more respect for you (not that I didn't respect you before ) that as a founder of the company your out here talking to us and interacting to make your product better. I never realized just how much of your baby this is. I understand why you spend so much time on the boards now! Thanks! Tell everybody to keep up the great work!

To get all we can out of the hat, should we have the larger lens or can us older black TrackIR GX users get more benfit out of it too? Also is the FPS increase in the version 2.0 software or in the hardware of the new unit?

Looking foward to all the new stuff you're planning on bringing out, but please don't forget keymapping fix for us Falcon pilots and other older game players because without the source code mods it sounds like we won't be able to use Remote Software interface either But I'm definitely looking forward to it in the other sims I'll dabble in the future. I always go back to Falcon though hehe.

Loved the interview Jim and now im really excited about all the new stuff comeing out with the new softwear release when it arrives in a couple of months.

Also im intrested in the suggestion of maybe a upgrade deal to the Track Ir unit for exsiting users if it goes ahead, would you be able to explain the benifits between the old and new units though.

Glad you enjoyed the interview, my pleasure. We are a small company, and therefore have a lot of freedom in the projects we choose and in developing things quickly, although there never seems to be enough time in the day!

The hat will work great for everyone, but you will need the new software,(2.0) for it to track the hat reflector, as it is very wide and doesn't look like a dot to our old software. This will be a free upgrade of course. I wouldn't worry about having the older lens style just yet, there may be features in the coming months that will need updated units, but it isn't on my road map.

There will be an upgrade in the near future for a trackIR with more FPS, but we haven't decided on the complete feature list as of yet. The units that are shipping now have basically the same specs as the first units did over 18 months ago, they are just upgraded in subtile ways, better metal bases, rubber feet and new lenses. Functionally, they are the same. Oh, but we do have a very cool new retail box that the unit comes in.

It should be a great year, can't wait for the release of some of the new stuff myself!
