Wearing glasses interferes with TrackIR 3

Hi all. I had to send my TrackIR 5 unit away for replacement (was one of the faulty batch) and so dusted off my trusty old TrackIR 3.

Now that I'm getting on a bit, I find that I have to wear reading glasses more & more, and I find that when I do, trackIR 3 acts up and twitches all over the place sporadically. From watching the camera view it's like it suddenly loses track of one of the big 3 trackers on the hat and instead watches one of the smaller reflections on my glasses. I tried fidddling with the filter settings but I didn't achieve any better results.

Back when I used my TrackIR 3 regularly I didn't wear the glasses so I cannot say if it's a new problem or not. Currently I can play without glasses but it's becoming a strain, is this a common problem?

Latest drivers BTW.

If the lenses are reflecting IR, you can attempt to adjust the Light Filter Threshold (advanced settings, camera tab) to filter it out, aside from that the only option would be using the TrackClip Pro, as it disables the camera's IR emitters during use.

I guess I'll just play glasses-less for the few days it takes to get my TrackIR 5 unit back. I never had any luck getting the TrackClip Pro working well, at least on the TrackIR 3 (never tried it on the 5), and tonight wasn't any different. Rather twitchy and unsatisfactory tracking.

But, thanks for the suggestion :)
