Freezing Up

Every time I look to the right away from my computer the pointer freezes up and only moves a little bit. I need to have someone unplug the headmouse to get the pointer moving again. It has been happening for 3 days. Nothing new with my computer. I downloaded the last update but that didn't fix the problem.
