SmartNav 4 detecting as OptiTrack device

When my SmartNav 4 AT is plugged in the SmartNav software displays message "OptiTrack device detected, This software only works with SmartNav". Why would the software detect it as an OptiTrack device when it is a SmartNav? Its not an issue with anything else because my other SmartNav plugged into the same computer using the same cable is working without issue.
Any ideas? It was used briefly by someone else then I got it back. I looked at the cable connection and everything appears to be in order.
