tracking problems

My Smart nav is intermittently going out. I know it is still tracking by the smart nav because i can see the green dot moving. it is in the middle but my mouse keeps stopping. i reboot my computer and i uninstalled the program and reinstalled the software. do you have any others that have the same problem? could it be the camera? thank you
