Temporarily Disable Hotkeys for typing
Temporarily Disable Hotkeys for typing
Is it possible to temporarily disable hotkeys? I want my hotkeys on letters instead but they get in the way when typing. I know that you can assign hotkeys to uncommon commands but I would like to keep my hands in a natural resting position on the keyboard instead. Any help would be great. Thanks.
Re: Temporarily Disable Hotkeys for typing
Hi Jerdee,
I will ask our developers if there is an option for that.
Would you prefer to still have tracking active when you pause your hotkeys? Or do you usually want to pause the SmartNAV Tracking and hot keys at the same time?
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Temporarily Disable Hotkeys for typing
Kevin,
Pausing the hotkey and tracking all at once would be a nice feature! I currently have a kludge at the moment. I simply use a macro to enable the hotkey and disable the hotkeys from a program called quick keys. It somewhat awkward but it works. The main reason for this feature is to allow my hands to rest at the natural typing position and use them for left, right, precision, center quick keys and still allow typing when needed with out the hotkeys getting in the way. I love your product and it has really opened up the potential for fast editing on a audio video system with very little strain on the hand. Your system just makes a lot of since for a power user that works long hours at a time. I'm very happy with your product and already seeing serious improvement in my functioning over the standard mouse. I'm just a quick key freek as my work requires me to be very quick and efficient.
Thanks for your help again.
