external switch problem

Hi I have just purchased SMARTNav AT.

Everything seems fine until i fit an external switch for clicking then all hell breaks out.

It seems to be running dwell click though it's not enabled and right/left clicking,dragging & opening everything in view.

Any clues anyone i have used 2 different switches together via Y cable & singular .
I have also removed software & reloaded it.

N/Point 2.14 ver.
