ERROR MESSAGE ON REBOOT
ERROR MESSAGE ON REBOOT
sometimes on reboot i get error that smartnav & trackir can't run at the same time. close trackir. i don't even have trackir. when this happens i can't operate my pc till i get some hands help. doesn't happen often but a pain when it does. running windows 7 64bit. any suggestions? ty. ajporr

What version of SmartNav software are you running?

i tried the newest software when i 1st got this pc in dec. couldn't get it to run right. settings were same as old software

I would recommend the following procedure:
Uninstall your SmartNav software
Download the latest version of the software and save (don't run from the downloader)
Right click on the installer and select "Run as administrator" and continue the installation from there. This may alleviate the issue.

didn't work, still get error on some reboots

Try navigating to the program file, located here:
C:\program files (x86)\naturalpoint\smartnav\smartnav.exe
Right click on the file, and select properties.
Go to the compatibility tab
Check "Run as administrator"
Check "Run this program in compatibility mode"
Select "Windows XP Service Pack 2" from the dropdown
Click "ok"
