Delay between Arena and Motionbuilder 2013
Delay between Arena and Motionbuilder 2013
We have arena streaming to Motion builder. All is good. When we record the motion and stop it trims the timeline to the end of when we hit the stop button. Say frame 100. However the motion is not stopped at 100 and is slightly slower than what we recorded at. It has animation to about 110 frames. Why is there a difference in what we see on the screen in motionbuilder and when we stop the recording and what the actual animation that it makes on the actor?

You're recording in MotionBuilder, not Arena, correct? And your Frame Rate in the Arena Stream pane is set to 100%?

It sounds like it's probably an issue with some of your MotionBuilder playback and timeline settings. We'd be happy to review your MoBu file and take a look. Just strip out all of your geometry and textures before you send it over, to keep the file small. You can email the file to seth[at]naturalpoint[dot]com.
