Hello,
I have a question about calibration of the optitrack, if we don't move the cam, could we use the same calibration file or do we have to do a calibration each day?
Thanks;
calibration
Re: calibration
Hi Jeuv
I would recommend a calibration each day... even with systems that are truss or wall-mounted there is a certain amount of drift due to wall expansion, vibration, etc. Calibration doesn't take that long to perform anymore in Motive (not like with Arena) and it will give you the best results.
Cheers!

Re: calibration
During camera calibration, the system computes position and orientation of each camera and amounts of distortions in captured images, and they are used constructs a 3D capture volume in Motive. Moreover, even if setups are not altered, calibration accuracy may naturally deteriorate over time due to ambient factors, such as fluctuation in temperature and other environmental conditions. This is done by observing 2D images from multiple synchronized cameras and associating the position of known calibration markers from each camera through triangulation.
