Simple close-range tracking with one camera

Post by seanbot »

If I have four beacons (track points?) that are fixed in their relative position, is it possible with one OptiTrack camera to track the distance and orientation of these at close range (and assuming the orientation remains relatively stable)?

Hello seanbot,

A minimum of two cameras is required in order to track the position and orientation of an object. If you are looking for a minimal system, you may want to consider our V120:Duo or V120:Trio. Both will allow you to easily track an object and will also give you access to our Motive software.
