Tracking area 4x3 meters

Hello,
We are setting up a system that requires to track human movements in a 4m X 3m area.
We don't have much space around the gaming area so we have to put the cameras at the boundaries of it.
For now, we are 8 using Flex3 cameras but this is probably not enough to cover the whole area.
Can you suggest any solution with our actual setup? Or do you suggest to add cameras or change camera model?

Thanks

Hello mabelm,

8 cameras is usually enough to capture full body movement, though the best capture area typically occurs several feet in from the perimeter of the cameras. If you place your 8 Flex 3s around the maximum perimeter of your space, you will likely not be able to cover that entire space.

OptiTrack does sell other model cameras, some designed to capture a wider field of view in more confined spaces. Something like that would be useful to you if you were looking to upgrade.

If you would like to followup with any of our sales engineers, they would be happy to help determine the best setup to meet your needs.
