specifications robot tracking

Post by janpieter »

Dear sir/madam,

For a robotics application I wish to track the robot end effector position and rotation (and their derivatives) in 3D space.
I am wondering if OptiTrack has any products that can fullfill my needs.

The requirements are:
- Tracking in a 0.5x0.5x0.5m volume
- Position and orientation measurement at 120 Hz
- Maximum position error of 50 microns (I am also curious about the best position error OptiTrack can deliver)
- Maximum orientation error of 0.5 degrees
- Lowest latency possible (what is the minimum theoretical value for an OptiTrack system?)

I hope that you can provide me with some in depth-specifications about your systems and thanks in advance for a reply!
Kind regards,
Jan-Pieter
