Hi all,
In a project I'm working on at my University we would like optitrack cameras to recognize points not based in the infrared figure but just the opposite, the lack of infrared. We would like to fill our screen with infrared light so the way we would like to recognize a finger touching the screen would be if there is not infrared in that area. Would it be possible to work in this way?
Thanks
Optitrack cameras recognition algorithm question
Re: Optitrack cameras recognition algorithm question
There hasn't been much demand for inverted video processing, so we've always cut it from the final feature list during camera development. Most of the cameras have a partial implementation which has not been polished to a public feature state.
The OptiTrack SDK doesn't expose control over the inversion right now, but we will see if we can make it available in the next release for people who are curious. If we do, anyone using it would need to keep in mind that it has quirks which won't be fixed
OptiTrack C120 : works aside from vertical stripe/object always present on left side of the camera view
OptiTrack V100 : works aside from vertical stripe/object always present on right side of the camera view
Other cameras : does not work
