Mix standard & 60 degree lens cameras?

Post by tvining »

Can you have a setup with both standard and 60 degree lens cameras, or do they all need to be the same lens?

Thanks--Tim

Follow-up question: I have a 14'x14' space; 6 (out of 8) of my v100R1 cameras with standard lenses got fried by a lightning surge, so my plan was to purchase 6 new cameras with the wide angle (3.5mm lenses) to maximize my space. So my questions are:

1. will this space work okay for the 3.5mm cameras? I wasn't sure after reading the note: "When using lenses which yield a field of view greater than 46 with the FLEX:V100R2 camera, there will be poor IR illumination coverage because the IR illumination is designed for a 46 FOV."

2. In an 8 camera "corners" setup, where would you recommend I place the 2 v100R1 cameras with standard lenses?

Thanks--Tim

In the 14'*14' setup are, I would think your IR coverage should still be fine.

I would place them in the upper corners, across from each other
