CAD-system

Hi!

I am an mechanical engineer. I use AutoCad and Solid Edge to CAD design.
I have a TRACK IR 5, I use it for gameplay.
I have an idea! I would like to use the TRACK IR5 to design too.
Anybody can help me?
Idea: Nowadays I move the drawing with mouse (ctrl+mouse button). When I work on the laptop, I have no mouse for it. That's why it's hard to work on the laptop.
Solution: I think if I pushed the middle button on the laptop keyboard, the trackir5 would be active, then I could move and zoom the drawing with my head movements. When i dont push the middle button it has to be inactive.

I think my task is not too hard, but nobody not help me. Why? I think this is few hour task.

Hi Csabi,

Unfortunately, we're not able to drop this kind of functionality in ourselves. The CAD software developers would have to integrate the TrackIR API into their code in order to accomplish something like what you're requesting.

1. I'm not happy, but I understand. I will ask my CAD system distributor can help me this theme. My CAD distributor is closely related to Siemens (CAD software developers).

2. I tried to the mouse emulation with track ir 5. This is good work a lot software. But with the CAD software not good. Have you any idea this way?
