Will Joystick and Keyboard emulation ever be included?

by FluffyMule » Wed Nov 19, 2014 5:29 am

Hey all,

I know that this topic has been discussed here already and that Seth Steiling stated in a post from 2009 that they were "hopeful that emulation/mapping could be included in 5.1 or 5.2" but there "is no timeline for the release of those versions yet".

So the reason for this post is to see if there is now any word on whether or not these features are intended to be included at some point and if so, is there an expected time frame?

I thought this was an appropriate question considering that the above mentioned quote is now a little over five years old and we are now using TrackIR Version 5.2.200 (Build 14548). Also, there was another post about keyboard/joystick mapping from 2013 by Darknoodles but the TrackIR people did not respond.

I am hoping very much that they respond to this post. :)

I apologise if this question has already been raised recently, but I could not find it, if it has.

I literally brought this topic up with one of our developers just today, believe it or not. I'll make some noise over here and see what we can do.

I was wondering if you have heard anything more about this?

Hi Fluffy,

Nothing has changed over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will keep this forum post up to date as we find out more information.
