Ability to filter a specific region of the sensor

I've been using TrackIR for a very long time but usually in a dark room, to avoid any unnecessary noise going into the sensor. Now I'm playing with the lights switched on and the sensor is catching the light bulb and thinks it's one of the 3 points that it should be focused on. You can see an example here:

I think it would be great if you added a feature to let the software ignore specific coordinates - considering the light bulb is stationary and doesn't ever move.

Is this possible?
Thanks.

BullHorn,

Though it isn't currently possible, I have added it to a feature request list. Thank you for the image, it helps show exactly where this feature could be used.

Best regards,

Resurrecting this to see if there has been any progress in five years! This would be a useful feature - I can't position my sensor so that areas of reflected sunlight etc are not seen, but filtering/gating those areas would not affect it picking up my clip.

Alternatively, how about being able to narrow the FOV of the sensor?
