TrackIR "Stuck" with maxed values

Hi
I have has this a lot since recently starting using TrackIR 5.
After a period of non-use (though is intermittent even over 10 hours) the "6DOF" window reports Raw=1.$, and Game = 16383.0 for all axes (see screenshot).
The software is not frozen and the "Camera" window still tracks the TrackIR clip (passive).
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to restart the TrackIR engine without killing the app and therefre having to restart (in this example) DCS. Issue is not limited to DCS, as it has happened against other titles MSFS2020 for example.
