Camera motion in sync with track IR

Post by Jonny »

Hello, I wish to use a TrackIR to move a camera, preferably one with night vision, is there any support for this? Any specific cameras/camcorders and software that work with the TrackIR?

Thanks

Hmm, I am not sure exactly what you want to do, could you please be more specific? We do have a free SDK that will give you access to the tracking data.

Think of a camera mounted on a robotic arm with full 6dof. Then put it in the driver-position of a racecar and control the movement of the camera with your head. Optimum safety - except g-forces are an essential part of racing ;) More realistic use is to put the thing in a fighter plane. Then you have can control the plane even under conditions where a human pilot will black out.

Oh, I get it now. Sure, you could do that with the standard free SDK, it provides you with (not officially supported) 6DOF head tracking data. For more precise head positioning, you would want to consider our OptiTrack line, with the Rigid Body software.
