Double mouse ?

Post by nimrod » Fri Nov 08, 2002 5:58 pm

Would it be possiable for the TRACK IR device to track two dots at the same time ? I imagine there would be quite a wide range of uses for this feature, for example as a viewing method as is currently the case, but also with a dot on the end of one finger then in flight sims ( falcon 4 ) with clickable cockpits then useing the finger to move the second mouse pointer can be used to good effect. This feature I assume could also be used in FPS to use items, open doors, pick up weapons etc etc.

Very interesting application of the dot tracking technology. We can track up to 32 dots at one time, but we only choose to track one dot for the current application. I think this idea could go somewhere for sure, but we would need more support from the game developers to make it really work well. I will talk with Halstead about it and see what he can make happen. Thanks.
