hello.
I'm using projector. so there is no place to put on TrackIR.

So I stand a pole , and put TIR on it.
Therefore always TIR and pole hind my screen view a bit.

I want to ask, is it possible to develop a new software for setting TIR left or right side of me?
and a cap with side brim for VectorExpantion?
thank you.

Can't you mount it behind you instead?.
I also have a projector and have mounted my tir unit on the wall behind me.

No I can't. Because I'm using driver seat with SimconMotion just like below.

http://www.frex.com/gp/motion/motionpage1.htm

My rear head is covered by seat.so only left and right is free.

I don't believe we can get it working from the side, as your head motions won't match up.

It sounds like the problem is the angle. it has to look up at your head, and a projector is right there behind it, competing with the reflectors.

My suggestion would be to try mounting the trackir above the large screen looking down, so it can see you without seeing the projector.
(and maybe aim your hat brim up a bit so it's pointed more directly at the TrackIR camera).
maybe using a usb extension so it can reach.
(can the cord go behind the large screen?)

Thanks Warren, for reply.
Well, I see it's difficult to solve.

I'm using whole front side wall as screen, so no back space and it's so far to catch signal.

ok, I try to mount a pole on my ceiling and put TIR upside down.

Thanks a lot!
