Can't get 6DOF with MS FS2004

Post by ct3903 »

Have tried everything including reinstalling pretty much everything but I just can't get FS2004 to respond to X,Y,Z movements, even though it does respond to pitch/yaw/roll and even though the TrackIR windows all show full 6D response.

A possible clue is that TrackIR wrongly identifies FS2004 as FS2002 (although I think this is simply because the installer demands that you tell it where `FS2002' is... I assume we're meant to lie and tell it where FS2004 is).

I'm using the latest software (4.1.028) and have nothing weird in my setup as far as I know.

CHmm. I haven't had this problem with mine. I wonder if it has anything to do with your version of FS9... Have you installed the patch for it?

I think you are one that emailed in as well.... did you make sure you did not install the FS2002 module?

He's right, this problem does happen, I had it as well and it's very frustrating.

This is how I solved it................................

1/ Select the default profile.

2/ Close down TrackIR4.

3/ Open TrackIR4 and now you will have all movements recognised.

NB: There is also a 'flight profile' that seems only to be effective for TrackIR3 users only, 'Natural Point' take notice please?
