FS9 Again!
FS9 Again!
I've just got my TrackIr 4. Installed and set up worked fine. The TrackIR software shows it's picking up the reflective surface. LED's indicate all is ok.
Except when I go into FS9 it doesn't work at all. I've gone back to the No crack CD version and that makes no difference.
I've got Active Camera but the evidence suggests it works ok.
Everyone else seems to be having a great time. Why can't I?

Re: FS9 Again!
Sorry missed out:
Device Serial No: 044361
Software Version: 4.1 build 28
Have now discovered that it works in CFS3, but sadly still not in FS9 which is what I want!

Re: FS9 Again!
Hey Jimbo,
I've been having the same problem and I've read its caused by the no-cd crack.
I'm waiting to get my cd's back off my brother so I can copy the original .EXE back.
I will let you know if this fixes it, I really want to see PMDG's 747 with the TrackIR.
Gudgey.

Hey Jimbo
As Gudgey says it doesn't like the NoCd cracks and I'm sure there are issues with 'active camera'.
Try the normal EXE file and turn off 'active camera' mate and lets us know what happens.

I believe one of our tips and tricks for the game addresses turning messages on or off,
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/03- ... -2004.html
(#4 says The setting is found in your fs9.cfg file located by default in:
c:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9
[Main]
HideInfoText=0
)
hope this helps

Re: FS9 Again!
Fixed it! I found out that my language.dll had been changed so I got hold of a copy of the original language.dll off the CD put it into the FS9 directory and hey presto it works!
Incidentally I couldn't find the reference to "InfoText" in my cfg file. But thanks to all who helped.

Re: FS9 Again!
It is interesting to hear how a lot of people using TIR 4 Pro with the fs9 nocd hack are having proplems with getting TIR4 to work.
Mine works perfectly with the nocd hack I am using, and has done so from day 1 of installing my TIR 4.
BTW. I am using the nocd hack for the fs9 patch to 9.1

Re: FS9 Again!
What Toady said.
No CD hacks do not work.
Active Camera has issues, sometimes disabling "Head Latency" fixes the issue but not always.

Re: FS9 Again!
I've got rid of the NO CD crack and gone back to the original exe but it still doesn't work.
I've turned off "Head Latency" on Active Camera but it still doesn't work.
Does work on X-Plane and CFS3 so I think it's something to do with the way that FS9 can be configured.
