TrackIR4 and Projector

Hello learned TrackIR users,
I am using the TrackIR 4 with a projector behind for the display. I've configured it ALMOST successfully to ignore the projector light (shows as a small red area on the tracking). However, once I've turned my head beyond a certain angle left or right, the tracking dot on the side I am turning to becomes smaller than the projector light, TrackIR 'picks up' the projector light instead of the dot, and view stuttering occurs.

I suspect there may be no solution for this, but is anyone else using with a projector and what have been your experience?

You may need to fly with an umbrella, add some kind of roof over your head, or sit where the tracker is underneath the light. Well, that's my 2 cents...

I'm using a projector and have mounted my tir unit on the wall behind me. You just have to invert some of the axis in the tir software.
