Try a clean install of FS9, and the TrackIR software.

I have read all these posts and am somewhat surprised at you Vincent.

The guy your dealing with is no fool, he is very acctive in the real world aviation scene.

It's clear to me that the unit he has bought is defective so, why don't you just offer to replace it?

It works great in FSX, it dosen't work AT ALL in FS9! Come on Vincent, pull some wires here, please?

I have been promoting this hardware and have persuaded many freinds to buy it. Because of this, I feel as though I have let Ron down and am relying on you to put things right Vincent? Nobody else has had this problem that I know of. He has been flight simming from the early days and knows when he's in the VC view and when he isn't.

I'm not trying to doubt him in anyway. But, if the unit is working in FSX, and it isn't in fs2004, then it shouldn't be a hardware issue......

Okay we have already established that previously so why doesen't it work in FS9 when Ron has done everything that you asked him to do?

Are we still going to be discussing this next year too?

I hope to have an answer shortly, as I running it by the development team.....

It could be an issue with a registry setting or key that isn't allowing the TrackIR to detect the application starting....

Hello:

Just to jump in here; clearly this isn't a hardware issue, as if the TrackIR works in FSX, the hardware is fine, it is a software issue, and probably a hard to find one at that. The most typical problem is that the language file has been changed in some way, and a reinstall fixes it, so now that we have moved past those issues we can sort out new resolutions.

Thanks for promoting TrackIR and having faith that we do the most we can for all our customers.

We should try a manual uninstall of FS2004...

Could Ron shorten this, by perhaps installing the language.dll that is needed?

If so, how would this be possible and would it overwrite the previous IF that IS what's wrong?

Just a thought eh?
