No worries about the edit.
Yea, that sounds about right when I figure in when I bought it.
It's the very minimal amount of use it's had that hurts.
I have barely used this unit (unlike my earlier versions) I just hate the thought that something could die like this after so little use.
I know I'm up s*** creek here but it's pretty poor.
These things cost 130-150ish in the UK, that is like around $220. See why I'm not happy?
Thanks, Mike, for having the courtesy to reply, that much at least, is appreciated.
TrackIr 4 device not detected, blue led flashing
Re: TrackIr 4 device not detected, blue led flashing
Hello!
Guys seems like I have the same problem but with few exceptions.
I left my TrackIR4 PRO without usage for about 2 month. Just today I've donloaded the latest drivers 5.1 final and found out that my device is not operable.
Blue LED in the bottom of the device blinks. But IR LEDs are not lit and camera does not detect any IR emitters. But the software indicates that device is found and shows the ###### number.
My systems are
W7 Home Premium 64 bits
WinXP Pro SP3 32 bits
The situation is the same on both computers.
The device was bought more then 2 years ago.
Can you please advise me some steps to recover my device. Any tests to find out erro codes. May be some diagnostics?
Thanks.
PS: Tried all available 5.X drivers - no result. Also tried the latest 4.X driver no result too.

Is the TrackIR software set to TrackClip or TrackClip Pro? If the software is set to TrackClip Pro, it will not activate the LEDs inside, nor will it track passive markers like those on the TrackClip.
Do you see any activity in the upper right hand "camera view" box?

Thanks for the reply.
"Is the TrackIR software set to TrackClip or TrackClip Pro?"
Tried both - no result.
"Do you see any activity in the upper right hand "camera view" box?"
No there is no activity. Tried with TrackClip and with open fire from lighter.

If the software detects the device, but the camera view box does not react to either a track clip or a flame, it is more than likely that your imager within the TrackIR has gone out.
Re: TrackIr 4 device not detected, blue led flashing
Does imager is a chip nested code? And as I understand there is no chance to repair it, am I correct?

This is correct, unfortunately.
