They should be covering the unit for 1 full year, from the purchase date.

If they still refuse to cover you, please forward their email response to support@naturalpoint.com along with the serial number of your TrackIR, and we will look into the matter.

I have asked them twice and they gave the same reply saying that they only "give out warranty of 6 months on hardware"..... I will forward all emails

Hi Vincent,

TrackIR Nr. 4 (!!) is dead. Ser. Nr: xxxxx

- Worked fine for exactly 16.9 Flight Hours in Freefalcon5 :-(
- Because of my lost confidence in this hardware I plugged in the device ONLY when I used to fly. ..

- So the lifetime was 20 hours!
- The sign of desease are new: nothing, NO flashing, NO current on USB,
- NO DEVICE DETECTED --> WHAT NOW, Vincent?

And please: Spare me with Software/Bios/Driver etc! My hardware spec is described in this thread, the camera was plugged in a USB hub. This was your advice.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Vincent,

what exactly do you mean with "type"? It's one with 6 ports and own supply...
