Glovepie or Trackmayai for MAYA 3D

Post by dragnet »

TIR4 - great product, thanks!
Now, to get that nice data to work in 3D animation programs like MAYA would be super...
Just for modest tweaks of course, not major mocap.
For that , I'd rush right over to ARENA. :)

Glovepie seems to be the ideal way to transpose TIR data (in my case, into midi),
whereby I'd use an off the shelf plugin to get data streams into maya.
Maya Expressions will convert data into usable numbers that I can tweak as I like.

So,.. anyone used Glovepie? TIR4 is not showing up for me.. (using XP SP2. Glove pie .29 and tried .30.)
TIR works fine in Ship simulator demo that I received on TIR4 install disk.

Oh &, has anyone tried Joachim Klarre's TRACKMAYAI plugin for TIR4 > Maya2008 ?
It froze Maya when I tried to enable the script.
(sourcing mel script was fine, it's the .dll looking for TIR / opitrack that isnt connecting)

Any takers, thoughts ideas? Interested n hearing about any attempt to use TIR4 in a 3D package.
I figure every good 3D person should.

cheers

ok, registering (optitrack) dll in system32 folder fixed trackmayai. Working in Maya, don't think it's going to be useful as is. Glovepie still not connecting.
Oh well..
