Sorry,
When I play FSX, I can view around the cockpit no problem. However if I should switch to an external view, then back to cockpit I am locked in place with no head movement.....it is stuck on centered screen.

Are you going back into the VC cockpit, or the 2d cocpit?
What button are you using to switch views?

VC cockpit, and default buttons... not sure what it is a moment, but it is an F key...like f10 or 11

What maybe happening is if you are pressing the F9 key, which also pauses the TrackIR software (by default). Try changing the pause hotkey, within the TrackIR software to either a joystick button, or the pause/break key on the keyboard.
