Correct placement of TrackIr receiver wrt height

Hello all, I'm 86Adel and my account seems revoked.
Anyways I got a trio of TRACKIR4 PRO bundle and the ARMA2: OA, FSX Standard edition. This is the unpackaging of the track IR4 pro:

this is also my video review for the unboxed items (merely a show-off);)

Anyhow my question was how to place the receiver on top my CRT?
I'm using an old dated PC (2004 build) and frankly, I experience a cutout when I do things far from the receiver, If I turn my head a little to the left I get a sudden change in view instead of gradual like looking right.
Also, which is funny, in FSX , the first demo was a practical comedy. As soon as the loading screen finished, I found my head bulging on top and out of the cockpit.. , like I had some tactical glasses and getting a feel of 'THE BREEZE' :/
So, I reposition the receiver a little higher than the screen but have to raise my body in a stranded position like a noose hang in order to look ahead and over the dashboard of the cockpit.. I find it hard to explain without photos but I'm sure many of you had this and beat it.. Ideas?
