I kniw I should be playing arma 2 but I dont have it.

Everything ive read says start the track ir software then start the arma game and everything should work.
What am I missing? The track ir is working fine but I cant figure how to enable it in Arma?
I have updated to software version 5.** then reinstalled the original 4.1.036
