New WW2OL Videos

Post by Rugen »

I made these vids today and was hoping the folks at NP would use some of these on the WW2OL video page, considering the fact that you only have Aircraft videos.

WW2OL is much more than an air combat sim, and I hope these demonstrate that fact, specially because it is hailed (by the NP website) as the first to use TrackIR technology for a FPS game.

(Natural Point Folks, please feel free to download and post these if you like)

Here they are:

Infantry

Laffly

Sherman

Sherman #2

Spitfire

Spitfire #2

I hope everyone enjoys these videos...

dang,
i went to edit all your clips together, with titles, and found that video didn't show up in premiere. which codec are you using?

for the time being, i'll put a link to your video site.

Hey Warren, Thanks very much.

I used the cinepak (by Radius) codec.
I Am using some small free programs I obtained from www.sourceforge.net .
I would imagine that they should be compatible with other Video authoring software, But as I am rather new to the video capture/editing process, I might mistake my posterior for a hole in the dirt...

I could easily String them together. This is, of course, assuming you had no problems viewing them..

It would probably be around 10 Mb in size...

Could you give me an idea of Captions/titles, or shall I "go nuts" as they say ?

Jason, yes, I had some website problems, namely overruning my bandwitdh limits, so it got suspended. =)

I recently got space on another site, and will need to upload the movies to the site.
I probably will string one long movie together from the 6 small ones.

Should be no more than a day ot two.

Nice vids. Thanks for posting them. Anyone have TrackIR vids of paratroop jumps? I'm thinking about running TrackIR again in WW2OL (never could get comfortable with it before). Plus, I just ordered the Vector Expansion upgrade which should help. These vids looked a lot more natural than my experience with TrackIR when I first got it.
