We've spoken with a couple of the (many different) developers, and sent out TrackIRs for evaluation.
We'll report back here if there is more to report.

Today the developers of AAO anounced version 2.8.1 will offer TrackIR Support! This is what i found:
We have included preliminary support for TrackIR in this release. You will need to have the latest TrackIR software installed for this to work. (

In future versions we plan to have more complete support for this system, and it is included now to allow you to play around with the system with some basic functionality. More information on features and support is available from the in-game console by typing: "TrackIRHelp"
Note: This feature is not yet supported or completed and is included for evaluation purposes only.
