TrackClip Pro USB Cable Smaller?

Hello,
i own a TrackIR 5 with the Clip Pro and now i want to make it completellz wirelles,i have bought the Logitech G930 and a Powerbank with ON/OFF button,but the ClipPro Usb cable is way too long...if i cut it will stop working?had anyone tryed it?and i want to cut the other USB Output also,because i do not need it
