Hey all:
TrackClip Pro is almost here! TrackIR 4 and TrackIR 3 Vector users can now attach our active LED headset clip right to their favorite over the ear style headset and have full 6DOF control of the view in their favorite simulator. This product has been requested for a long time and we are very happy to finally announce it.
Look for an official launch soon, and pre-orders around the 1st of December.
This early forum post is to answer questions related to the TrackClip Pro tracking selection in our new Beta software, which has been posted today.

"Over the ear" headphones, or "over the head"? Guess we will have to wait until the real press release to see how it attaches to the headphones.

Good work chaps! Looks great.
A few questions if I may:
1) What is the power requirements/life of this active LED clip?
2) Will the tracking performance increase with background light due to the active LED technology?
3) Will the TrackIR unit have to be lowered or adjusted in anyway for optimal reception of the clip?
4) Will UK be getting them soon?

yea I'm also interested in this
1.) how much does it cost
2.) how will it work since trackir tech is usually based on reflector tech, if this thing is only on one side of the face, how will the trackir see it if you turn away from the screen?

1 - We will have information on the price posted shortly.
2 - Actually it is based on active IR LEDs, so no reflector is required. As for the turning away from the screen, it behaves just like the vector clip when you turn away from the screen.

Is there a estimated release date? I am leaving US for good in 3 months. I'd like to bring this with me while I am in US to save the shipping cost.
