View jerking vertically in ArmA

Post by Xoni »

I am having a problem with my TIR 4 and clip in Armed Assault.

The view is jerking upwards, several times concurrently, every few seconds, though I am not moving my head. It looks like an old TV with bad horizontal stability.

I have the latest drivers and the latest patch for ArmA and don't have this problem in other games.

Any ideas?

Which profile are you using with ArmA?

Looking at the tracking screen, view -> tracking, what do you see here?

Does the amount it happen change depending on where you look?

For me, ArmA always wants to go back to center view if it starts to loose tracking for even an instant. At the bottom of the window of the trackIR software, you can see the status bar. If the status bar is flickering "No Data" then this could be the problem.

After you open the tracking window, click "settings". See if "light filtering" is checked. Try unchecking that. A good setting for "dot tracking" would be around 100 I think.

I am also having this problem. I just switched to Vista 32bit and this started happening.

It looks as smooth as a baby's bottom.

TrackClip pro is selected, smoothing 25. It works great in falcon 4.0 but ArmA is just messed up. I am pretty sure it has to do with Vista.

edit, and no red.
