TrackIR don't get active (Green light)

Post by booster87th »

Hi

Have a TrackIR that used to work without any problems. Then suddenly it wont work.

I can disable/enable (Scrollock) but when i hold the Clip infront of the TIR it dont turn on the Green lights.
Program sees the TIR but using the tracker view it wont show anything, only greay dialog box were it should be balck and show the 3 green dots.

Tried to uninstall and install latest version software (4.1 build 36), changed USB ports etc.

System is XP SP3, TIR uses Dell 20" flatscreen USB Hub.
Is this a know probleb and how to solve it.

Appreciate any help.

Are your profiles set to TrackClip Pro, or vector?

Are the IR leds option checked in, View -> Tracking -> Settings?

Sorry for late answer.

It is set to TrackClip and "use blue LED for TrackIR Enhanced" is ticked under settings.

Its kinda weird as I can change USB connecter, reinstall drivers and then it works. Then after some reboots it stops working again. Dont know if this is a software issue or what but all USB devices shows everything is fine.

Perhaps a firmware update for your main board could do the trick, wouldnt that handle any USB-driver issues?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

All power saving on USB Root's is unchecked.

Firmware on motherboard should not be needed as it has worked.

Weird is that I can "pause" the TrackIR so connection is established.

If I unplug and plugin the TIR it is reconnized right away but still no "green light" when holding clip in front of the TIR.

Are the IR leds turned on, when looking at the camera itself?

Hi,

No IR leds.

Funny enough I got it working without knowing what solved it.

Pluged it in different USB and after several tryes, reboots, uninstall of driver it suddenly worked again.

Now I aint messing with it :-)

I had a problem such as this. My hat clip stopped tracking the vector after a month after i purchased track ir. This really irritates me because of the money i paid for the product and not being able to use it. If you have any support that wouldnt mind emailing me at VTGPblue@aol.com.

Problem:
Track ir does not capture hat clip on vector. Unable to use headset clip due to my headset design.

Please get back to me as soon as possible. Thanks you.
