3 year old in mocap suite

Post by evengi »

Hi!

Before christmas I improvized a simple mocap suite for my three year old. The goal was to test recording of a little person with dense markers.
I optimized the volume and got suprized how good the data turned out. Eaven when she sat, I had good recordings.

I transfered her motion to Glork, who also is about three years old, only in lightyears.
I did not spend much time on retargeting, and it shows at certain points.

The test turned out so sucessfull, that I created this little film.
My three year old loved to see the 3D modell mimick her in realtime, and would not stop the recordings.
I hope you like it, feel free to share!

Tools: Arena from optitrack, Maya, zbrush, PS and After effects.

Cheers
Roger.

That's great, Roger. I should get my kiddos in studio one of these days.

Thank you guys!

It took some time to place the markers, she was not wery patient with me. But when we first started she loved it actually. :)
