What determines the numbers that show up on the cameras? It seems kind of random.

Camera numbers?
Re: Camera numbers?
It is done on how each camera is detected and initialized by the software, so the first one initialized gets a #1, and on down the line.
Re: Camera numbers?
Is there any way to get them to initialize or show up sequentially?
Re: Camera numbers?
Tim,
Do you mean having the camera numbers more closely correspond to the physical arrangement of the cameras, such as numbering 1,2,3... from left to right (physically)?
Currently the camera numbers get assigned before the system knows where the cameras are in space (before calibration).

Re: Camera numbers?
Yes--it would be helpful for calibration so you'd have an easier time looking to the camera and the window on the screen--also for directing the actor to say "face camera 4" etc., since they'd be in a more predictable pattern. Not a big deal, but it would be convenient.

Re: Camera numbers?
any chance the drivers/systems could look for a text file that establishes a relationship between camera serial numbers and a set of user defined numbers?
