Hi,
I'd like to know how can I choose the number of data points when I calibrate the cams with Arena: I think that this number is connected with the dimension of the capture volume, and I generally put 300 data points with a 5 m x 5 m room. Can you give me a general rule that I can follow?
Thanks,

Re: DATA POINTS IN CALIBRATION
General rule of thumb should be 100-150 data points.
Re: DATA POINTS IN CALIBRATION
Hello,
Data points between 100 to 200 is usually sufficient. During the calibration calculation, the output text in wizard will say something like:
"xx points/frames have survived validations"
This number indicates how many points are actually used for the calculation. If it becomes lower than about 80, then the data points should be increased.
If the calibration result is poor no matter how much the data point is increased, then the camera views might not have enough overlaps, camera aiming might need to be adjusted.
