How much of a problem is vibration?

Post by The_Nomad »

I've just been looking at a new space for our OptiTrack system, and it's looking fantastic, aside from one small issue - there's a bit of a problem with floor vibration.

The floor doesn't leap away or anything, but there's definitely noticable vibration from heavy traffic outside.

How much of a dealbreaker is this for a capture space using Arena?

Vibration can cause the cameras to move, which can throw off the calibration, and the accuracy of the capture itself.

I'd say it's a huge dealbreaker. We're looking for a place with a concrete floor.
