Hi all,
my problem is, I have to find something called "Broadcast frame data" in (I guess) Arena.
What I usually do here, is open up a PDF manual for the given software, type the search term, and eventually I find where such a functionality is located.
The problem is - I cannot find any documentation about Arena, where screen captures of the GUI are listed, and functionality is annotated? (and I find that kind of unbelievable, given how much the software costs?)
I have looked through the drive where it is installed, and all documentation I can find is
http://www.naturalpoint.com/optitrack/support/manuals/
[quote="

ARENA Motion Capture Software
Video Manuals: View
Marker Placement Guide: View HTML
Quick Start Guide: ARENA Software
[/quote]
Marker Placement Guide has no discussions of GUI, Quick Start Guide: ARENA Software is 2 pages long and no GUI annotation - the only thing with a bit more seem to be the videos.
In fact, I can find two links to video tutorials for Arena:
http://www.naturalpoint.com/optitrack/p ... als/arena/ (only camera setups here)
http://www.naturalpoint.com/optitrack/p ... orial.html (here is work with GUI)
.. but in those I cannot search for "Broadcast frame data" word and find on which screen it appears
Can I get it confirmed - is there really no documentation where there are annotated GUI screen captures given for Arena software?
Thanks in advance for any answers,
Cheers!
Arena documentation?
Re: Arena documentation?
Correct, as far as the manual options currently go.
Basically you are refering to the streaming options, within the different applications. Within the Tracking Tools software, under the view -> streaming section, you have the option to "Broadcast Frame data". Within the Arena software, it is under the Settings section, stream tab.

Hi Vincent,
Just wanted to say - thanks a lot for the answer; it's nice to have this clarified!

Re: Arena documentation?
Hi, sorry to nag about this again, but it seems our version of Arena does not have "Broadcast Frame Data", only thing I can see is:
That is - Settings / Stream / Start Streaming Frames.
I guess that "Start Streaming Frames" is the new "Broadcast Frame Data", but I'd just like to have it confirmed.
PS: Maybe some more documentation would be a good idea - I'd really hate to post on a forum each time I cannot find a UI feature I mean, for $1999 for the software, you shouldn't have a problem of hiring someone to take some screenshots, write some html and post it on the web, don't you think?

Re: Arena documentation?
Yes the wording is slightly different in the Arena software.
