Expression should record audio, and should be played back via the AV window, or you guys should just call it a monitor.

I have to hand sync the audio, not a great pipeline.

I love OPTITRACK!! best thing i ever bought

DonBurroni:

No mocap system that I know of captures audio from the main application.. that is handled better by other software apps (it would create unnecessary overhead in the program..., it's better to keep it to what it does best)

what could be done though is that you could send a signal thru the optihub via the sync-out port to an audio capture device...that way it would be synced to what you are capturing in Arena

Hi,

the NP website shows that feature for Arena Expression:

"Scene A/V: Record synchronized audio and video tracks for each take. Tracked 3D markers can be re-projected into scene video in real time and offline, providing valuable feedback and a great tool when editing in post."

But, I have no audio in my video files! Is it broken?

regards

Hello,

Scene audio is not functional in the current release, we are looking into the issue. There is not a timeline for its resolution right now.

We've updated the website in the mean time to reflect the change.

Thanks Birch for the information!

We need urgently this bug fixed, because user without OptiHub have no way to work with synced audio at the moment!

Can you give us a expected release date for this bugfix?

We have to postpone a important job for us, this is not good for our reputation!

regards

Hello:

Thanks for the testing offer!

We are aware of the bug, as Birch noted, but it is going to be a while until we fix this, as it turned out not to be a quick fix.

Thanks for Information Jim! I have thought something like that, after you have removed that feature from your website. Puh, I need a workaround, urgently! Any ideas?

Best regards

Bryan, you are the man!

You can record the audio in motionbuilder, all synced up with the facial animation!
just locate the mic input from the Scene browser, put ticks next to online and record then your away!

thanks once again!
