Calibration using the SDK

Post by JeDi »

Hi,

We have a very specific setup and use custom software to do motion analysis, using only the positional info of unidentified markers output by Tracking Tools.

The only thing we have to use the actual Tracking Tools GUI for is the calibration process. Are there any plans to expose this functionality through the SDK, so we can build it into our custom software?

Greetings,

The SDK does not contain the calibration routines. It is intended for integration into an existing product where those roles would be handled by other, custom methods. This is also true for point cloud solving and rigid body/skeleton solving.

While Tracking Tools itself does have these features that it lends to any project using them through the API, calibrations can only be loaded. Creating a calibration through our engine is a fairly user feedback driven experience, so opening the routines for API use is not on the table. It should be done exclusively through the GUI to ensure that you get a proper calibration and all available space is used, as well as proper blocking being in place.

OK, thanks for the information. We will keep using the application for calibration purposes then.
