Hi Doug,

Thanks for your quick answer and thanks to the Natural Point Team to fix this bug. We can wait a feww weeks to get the official update.

Apart that bug, we are very happy to have this Optitrack.

Thanks.

Marc

PS: Is it planned to stream data using OSC instead of VRPN or other TrackD ?

We are working on a project to stream this data as OSC.

Unless of course someone has done it already?

Please tell me if there is such a tool to stream rigid body data from OPTITRACK to OSC.

Hi Doug,

Do you have a precise date for the release of the upgraded version of Rigid Body ?

For your question, OpenSoundControl (OSC) is a protocol for communication among computers, sound synthesizers, and other multimedia devices that are optimized for modern networking technology. It's widely used in the audio community.

See you.

PS for Olaf: We have already developped a Java program which is able to convert a VRPN flew into an OSC flew. If you need it, mail me.

We're making a concerted effort to address synchronization with other systems over the coming months with both new hardware as well as additional software features. OSC support won't be in 2.0 but we will have some new solutions before long.

Hi Doug,

Do you have some news about the major release you are about to do?

Thanks.

Hi Mark, I apologize for the perpetual state of the latest release. It's been in beta for a long time because of incremental additional support of new hardware devices that the software supports. Please email support and get the latest beta version of the Tracking Tools, which you are licensed to use as a Rigid Body Toolkit user. This software includes fixes for the problems you've mention, a new & update API, new user interface, and most importantly a new rigid body solver.
