Setting the origin of a rigid body

Post by mores_p »

Hello,

I am experimenting with the new Tracking Tool 2.0. I want to set the origin of a rigid body to one of its markers. I can do that easily with the old Rigid Body Toolkit. (selecting one of the markers and click "Set Origin")

The closest thing I found in Tracking Tool 2.0 is setting "Pivot-Point Translation". But It's not as easy, since I have to calculate the offset myself. Is there an easier way to accomplish this? Do I miss something?

Unfortunately the only way to move the pivot-point around currently is by moving the origin manually as you have described. The functionality to snap it to a marker is not implemented.

I will make sure this functionality exists in future versions.

Hi,

Has this functionality been implemented yet?

I would also like to set the origin of a rigid body to one of its markers.

Regards,

Paul.
